FEMAP V10 Update Training Class
Background
Who Should Attend?
Contents

FEMAP has seen significant improvement with the Version 9 series
releases. The new V10 release adds even more features and
functionality, heavily focused on Meshing.
Many users have little time to explore the new functionality and have
relied on using a subset of the features in an ad-hoc manner.
This class aims to present the new functionality available in V10 and
reviews the advanced functionality previously available. By
integrating this information and using extensive demos and
workshops the practicing FEMAP user can really polish up on the most
productive usage of the tool.
The format of the class is based around extensive workshops and supporting demos.
There is no substitute for hands on practice across a wide range of structures and the
student will be faced with many challenging projects across the range of geometry,
meshing and other tools available.
A good grasp of the available options is essential when planning an FE analysis. The
resource typically spent on pre processing the model in a typical FE analysis is still a
significant part of the project timescale. The broad options available are shown, together
with discussion on the best way to tackle typical geometry and meshing scenarios.
The material that is presented is specifically created for this class and includes a host of
important tips and hints gained from real world consultancy experience. Emphasis is on
productive and effective use of FEMAP and the student will leave the class with a powerful
toolkit of new techniques.
Students are welcome to bring problems from Industry and these will be discussed as
time permits.
Full notes are provided for the students
This course is aimed at practicing FEMAP engineers who wish to learn more about how
to work with FEMAP solving real world problems, in the most effective manner. This
course is a must for all engineers aiming to use FEA as a reliable and efficient tool for a
broad range of analyses
